Letter from the CEO

As we settle into 2025, I want to express my gratitude for your partnership and support.

Reflecting on the journey since I joined TICF in March 2020—just a week after the office shut down due to COVID-19—I am struck by how much has changed and yet how much we’ve endured together. Back then, I thought the challenges of COVID-19 would pass quickly and we would soon return to “normal.” Little did we know the hurdles we would face together over the past four and a half years and how elusive that sense of normalcy would be.

As I look back at my first year as CEO, one of my top priorities has been getting to know you—our valued Toyota dealers. It has been a pleasure to spend time with so many of you and hear your inspiring stories. These stories are not just about business success; they illustrate dedication, sacrifice, and the friendships built along the way. They also highlight the commitment to giving back and creating opportunities for others.

On behalf of all of us at TICF, thank you for allowing us to be part of your continuing successes. I am grateful for the opportunity to support you through the challenges of the last several years and am excited about what lies ahead.

We are excited about growing TICF’s partnership with Toyota Material Handling (TMH) and the Toyota dealer network. In 2025, we are launching initiatives designed to enhance the Toyota dealer experience significantly, positioning TICF to be more agile and responsive, making it easier than ever to partner with us.

Here’s to an incredible year ahead!

Partners in Excellence

2025 STANDINGS

The Partners in Excellence award recognizes the top Hino Trucks and Toyota Material Handling dealers who demonstrate outstanding performance in key areas. This unique program rewards, recognizes and connects the Hino Trucks and Toyota Material dealer networks.

In October, we celebrated the 2024 winners at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. Attendees enjoyed a three-day trip full of unique experiences, such as whale and dolphin watching and glow-in-the-dark golf.

This was the second time we brought both dealer networks and the inaugural Partners in Excellence trip. It was a wonderful experience filled with joy, camaraderie, and a special opportunity between Hino and Toyota dealers.

TICF Organizational Announcement

As we begin a new year at TICF, we are excited to announce organizational changes that we believe will significantly enhance the value TICF brings to Toyota Material Handling and the entire Toyota Forklift dealer network. This new organizational structure allows our team to focus solely on your business, allowing TICF to gain an even deeper expertise in the material handling and automation logistics industries while continuing efforts toward helping grow the Toyota family of business in 2025 and beyond.

These organizational changes are effective March 10, but the transition begins now, and we wanted you to be aware:

  • We are excited to announce the promotion of Dave Cordts, formerly National Accounts Sales Manager – Forklift, to Director of Sales, Support & Marketing – Commercial Equipment. In this new role, Dave will concentrate on developing a long-term sales and service strategy for TMH Dealers and customers. With his extensive experience from previous roles at TICF and a strong collaborative relationship with TMH, Dave is well-equipped to drive success in this position.
  • Michael Schultze, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, has been moved to Senior Director of Sales, Support & Marketing – Commercial Truck. In his new role, Mike will focus on setting a long-term strategy to make TICF the preferred financial partner of choice for Hino dealers and customers. He will also assume responsibility for Commercial Account Services, ensuring that sales and customer service activities are closely aligned.
  • Liz Miller, Marketing Manager, will now report directly to Dave as she transitions to focus on supporting Forklift specific marketing and communication efforts moving forward.

These organizational changes are just the first step in the significant investment that TICF is making to better support TMH and the Forklift dealer network.  We are excited about the opportunity these changes present to take our partnership to a new level!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your TICF RSM if you have any questions.

Thank you for your partnership, business, and support.

Perfect Letter Program Q3 FY25 Results

Perfect Letter Program Q3 FY25 Results

The Perfect Letter Program offers another way for dealers to earn points in Elite Dealer Rewards (EDR) points based on the percentage of perfect contract packages submitted to TICF by each Dealer Group. The EDR point tiers are based on the percentage of “perfect” contract packages out of the minimum number of required contracts per month.

Dealerships with multiple branch locations are rolled into one Dealer Group and EDR points are awarded quarterly at the Dealer Group level. Any dealer personnel with access to the rewards program have the ability to claim and distribute points fairly and according to your dealership’s business structure. Watch this instructional video to learn how to properly claim and distribute points for your Dealer Group!

As a reminder, dealers have 90 days to claim any earned Perfect Letter Program points in the Elite Dealer Rewards system before they expire!

Q3 results are in! Dealer Group points were issued and are now available for claiming! Take a look at the chart below to see where your Toyota dealership landed & how many points are available to be claimed by the appropriate dealer personnel. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work!

Please note: If your dealership is not listed, it may be due to various factors, such as not having met the necessary Perfect Letter Program requirements or other EDR Program terms and conditions. If you have questions about your dealership’s status or believe there’s been an oversight, please reach out to your RSM for clarification and assistance.

Point Collection: It’s vital for dealer personnel to only claim EDR points for deals that are rightfully theirs. Any attempt to claim deals not directly associated with the deal owner could lead to removing points, ejection from the program, or potential disputes that the Dealer Principal or other appropriate party would need to resolve. Adherence to proper point collection ensures a fair and transparent allocation of points, maintaining the integrity of the EDR program.

We hope you continue your journey to earning more EDR points today and thank you for making TICF your finance partner of choice.

Please contact your Regional Sales Manager if you have questions about any of these reward programs.  For additional contacts, please view the TICF Department Directory.

Thank you for your Perfect Letters and your business.
